The Texas Tribune is hiring a full-time Database Administrator to maintain digital records and generate acknowledgments for sponsors, donors, and members of our nonpartisan news organization in Austin, Texas. We’re looking for a systems-savvy professional with impeccable attention to detail—someone who can do everything from gift entry to identifying prospective supporters using data-driven methodology. The Tribune is focused on providing nonpartisan journalism on public policy, politics, government, and statewide issues. We work hard, we have a lot of fun, and we know our work matters.
Experience working with web-based CRM databases (Salesforce preferred)
Experience with prospect research and financial reporting
Ability to troubleshoot information systems
Excellent organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong work ethic; self-directed; positive attitude; team player
Enter and maintain Salesforce opportunities, contact and gift records, ensuring accurate and current data
Generate gift acknowledgements
Generate custom reports and list segmentation
Perform data mining and prospect research
Manage campaigns in Salesforce and provide up-to-date analytics
Support business and giving circle membership campaigns, including stewardship and renewal prompts
Set up new vendors accounts
